Port of Sunda Kelapa:Sunda Kelapa is the name of a harbor and surrounding places in Jakarta, Indonesia. This port is situated in the village Penjaringan, Penjaringan district, North Jakarta. At that time Kalapa, real name, is a port of the kingdom which had its capital at Pakuan Pajajaran (now Bogor) is captured by the troops and Cirebon Demak. Kalibaru harbor over 750 meters in length with a land area of 343 399 square meters, the pool area 42128.74 square meters, and can accommodate approximately 65 boats between islands and has a stacking of goods covering 31 131 square meters.Economically, this port is very strategic because it close to commercial centers in Jakarta such as Glodok, Morning Market, Mango Two, and others. As inter-island port of Sunda Kelapa crowded ships measuring 175 BRT. The goods are transported in this port in addition to basic food and grocery items are textiles. For development outside Java, Sunda Kelapa also transported from building materials such as iron rods and others. This port is also the purpose of demolition of building materials from outside Java, such as sawn timber, rattan, kaoliang, copra, and so forth. Loading and unloading of goods at the port are still using traditional means. This port is also available at the warehouse facility landfilling, either regular or storage warehouse fire.In terms of history, this too is a port of one of the destinations for the Capital City. Not far from this harbor there is the Maritime Museum Indonesia featuring the world's maritime past and the heritage of the Dutch colonial past.To the south of the harbor, there is also Shipyard VOC and VOC buildings that have been renovated.
